Email to Phil Ball 12th November 2010 Phil, Thank you for visiting me here at Chandos Lodge a third time today, 12th November 2010. Here is my summary of our meeting: S & K are still not willing to justify the bill for £572.44 for 6 short reminders but they continue to claim the bill is fair and unreasonable. I explained (again) that it would be easy for S & K to submit the bill to a taxation officer or to the Law Society for a Certificate of Remuneration, but as they are unwilling to do this I can only conclude that they are unable to justify the bill because the bill is excessive. Phil said that one of the S & K staff in Bungay did a Google search today for “Solicitors for the Elderly” and that a Google advert reporting “extremely serious bad service” was shown on the first page of search results. He asked me (nicely) to remove the advert. I refused, but explained that the conditions under which appears are complicated and that it will not always appear. S& K are not willing to justify why the IOU document they were holding on behalf of Juliet Johnson had to be sent to Mr. Bailey her adversary even after they were instructed not to pass it on. I can only conclude that S & K are unable to justify this extraordinary behaviour and that therefore they acted improperly I made this offer, conditional on it being accepted by 31st November 2010: I will remove the Google ads and my public service announcements on my web pages that relate to S & K & Juliet Johnson if (a) S & K pay £1700 to Juliet. (b) S & K write off all debts they consider are owed by Juliet (c) S & K pay £3020.92 total to 3 charities of my choice. This figure is equivalent to what S & K claimed they were owed by Juliet in his email to me of July 2008 (attached). I stated again that we dispute all these bills. 5. S & K can remove my comments from www.SolicitorsFromHell.co.uk by contacting the owner of that web site and paying a fee. Phil Ball agreed to discuss this offer with Messrs Sprake & Kingsley and will get back to me next week. He will also tell me then in detail what they would like me to do. The above offer is non-negotiable and must be accepted by 31st November 2010 or it will be withdrawn. Phil said that S & K are unwilling to pay Juliet any money but are willing to pay me the same amount for me to pass on to Juliet. I said I am extremely reluctant to accept this but will consider it. As the compensation for bad service is due to Juliet not to me, a direct payment to Juliet is the appropriate thing to do. I may reluctantly agree to the compensation being paid in cash or a blank cheque I trust you will find the above a fair summary of today’s meeting and assume you will send me corrections if not. Kind regards Peter Seaman
